Dr. Ryan Doran
Dr. Doran’s higher education began at The George Washington University, nearby in D.C., where he received a Bachelor's of Science in Biology. After developing a passion for optometry during his undergraduate studies, he went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree at the esteemed New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. Upon graduation, he completed an Ocular disease residency through Salus University, at the prestigious Omni Eye Services of New Jersey, working side by side with Ophthalmologists on complex medical patients in all areas of the eye. He has been working as an optometrist in northern Virginia ever since.
For the past six years Dr. Doran has worked in primary care, treating a wide variety of patients, in Tyson's Corner and around the Beltway.
Dr. Doran will be residing in the area with his wife, Erin, and their newborn son T.J., where they have plans to become actively involved in the local community. Prompted by his son's arrival, Dr. Doran has enrolled in the InfantSEE program, providing free screening for infants in his community.
For fun Dr. Doran enjoys exercising and playing ice hockey. He is an avid sports fan, who, also enjoys golf, he just doesn't play it very well.
